In Italy, to be a Borromeo is something fantastic. To meet a Borromeo is like meeting a Kennedy of Hyannis Port, only the Kennedys aren't descended from 16th century Catholic cardinals with colossal statues overlooking 40-mile-long lakes. But whatever. None of that meant that Beatrice was going to mind her P's and Q's or wear her Armani wardrobe without complaint. Beatrice wasn't content to just be a "daughter of". In high school, she hardly knew what she wanted to be. So when a modeling opportunity arose, she took it, thinking, well, why not? Modeling led to dating and dating led to interviews in fashionable magazines and those interviews led to co-hosting a hot new political show for Italy's top public broadcasting channel. Now she's a J School graduate with five directorial credits (documentaries) under her belt. Sadly, she might be better known for being the five-gown bride at the grooviest society wedding of 2015 than for risking her life to expose the crimes of the Calabrian mafia.
